Matilda Stanec

Matilda A. Stanec, 93 of Hopwood, Pa., passed away on Sunday December 9, 2018.

She was born on Wednesday December 2, 1925, a daughter of Vincent and Victoria (Bogus) Gorka.

Matilda was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Rudolph Stanec Sr. 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Veronica Emilio and her companion James Valentine, Rudolph Stanec and his wife Carol, Patricia Kopec and her husband Vincent, Monica Reda and her husband Joseph; grandchildren Anthony Emilio and his wife Devlyn, Christopher Emilio, Amy Stanec and Robert Wood, Jessica Mahokey and her husband Eric, John Emilio and his wife Wendy, Patrick Emilio and Jennifer Williams and Julia Reda; Great grandchildren Kendall Mahokey, Connor Mahokey, Gabriel Emilio, Eli Emilio, Quinn Emilio, Pyper Emilio. She is also survived by her sister Hedwig (Edith) Horvath.

Friends will be received in the Baker-Terravecchia Funeral Home, Inc., 71 Pennsylvania Ave., Uniontown, Pa., Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 2-8 p.m., and on Wednesday,December 12, 2018 until 9:15 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m.

The Parish wake service led by the Lazarus Ministry will be held today at 3 p.m.

Interment will follow in Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
