Joseph Kopachko

Joseph F. “Gip” Kopachko, age, 96 of Smock, PA., passed away peacefully on Friday May 24, 2019 in the Uniontown Healthcare and rehabilitation center.

He is a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, Pa., and the former St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church, Smock, Pa.,

Smock Gun Club, Smock Historical Society and served as the secretary of the Slovak Catholic Sokol Lodge 69.

Joseph served his Country with the United States Army and was self-employed as a furniture upholsterer for many years, he loved woodworking and watching or listening to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Mary Jo Mathias and her husband Terry, grandchildren, Samuel Joseph Mathias, Lucas Paul Mathias and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Baker-Terravecchia Funeral Home, Inc., 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa 15401 on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 5-8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May 31, 2019 in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, Pa. 15401 at 10 a.m. (the family ask that everyone meet in church.)

Private interment will be held in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Smock, Pa.
