John "Buzzy" Franks Iii

John E. “Buzzy” Franks III, age 76, of Uniontown, PA passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019 with his loving family by his side.

Buzzy was born on Friday, June 25, 1943 in Brownsville, PA.  He was the son of the late John E. Franks II and Audrey (Bowman) Franks.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter Emily Coddington.

Buzzy was a member of the UMWA Local 1248, (Maple Creek Mine), the Brownsville Son’s of Italy - Frank Ricco Lodge 731, and American Legion Post 940 Grindstone, PA.

He is survived by his loving wife Antoinette (Ottoviani) Franks, children, Stephanie Fowler and her husband Tim of Cumberland, MD; Julie Coddington and her husband Terry of Uniontown, PA; John Franks and his wife Tori of Tower Hill, PA; grandchildren, Allison Fowler, Cameron Fowler, Sarah Coddington, Ryan Coddington, Jay Franks, Joshua Franks; his pets Ginger and Chubbs.  He is also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Baker-Terravecchia Funeral Home, Inc. 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, PA 15401 on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 10 to11 a.m. when a blessing service will be held.  Interment will be private.
