James Vincent Ferranti

James Vincent Ferranti, 75, of McClellandtown, Pa., passed away on Thursday January 30, 2025.

 He was born on Tuesday March 22, 1949 in Bessemer, Pa., a son of Vincent James and Frances Catherine (Demaske) Ferranti.

 James was preceded in death by his parents, infant twins Jeffrey and Joanne and sister Rose Marie “Chick” Lewis.

 He was a member of the St. Matthias Parish at St. Hugh, was a former member at the former St. Mary's Catholic Church in Leckrone, Third Degree Knights of Columbus, Masontown Council #4261 and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member, Assembly #926. He was a Pennsylvania Mine Foreman, a 50 year member of The UMWA, Past President of The Local #6290 and was on the mine safety committee. He loved Amish Country in Ohio and calling his sisters to chat. He also loved going to flea markets, yard sales and junk sales in his free time.

 Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Christine Ann (Gmutza) Ferranti, his children, James Ferantti (Lori), Brian Ferranti; Sisters; Mary Louise “Sis” Mesich (Bob), Dawn Davis (Bob); Mother-in-law Jean Gmutza. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his fur babies Kittie and Poo Poo.

 Friends will be received in the Terravecchia-Haky Home for Funerals, Inc., 515 N. Main Street, Masontown, Pa., on Saturday, February 1, 2025 & Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., and on Monday, February 3, 2025 until 10:30 A.M. when prayers of transfer will be said, followed at 11:00 A.M. by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Matthias Parish at St. Hugh, Carmichaels with the Rev. J. Francis Frazier as celebrant.

 Interment will follow in St. Mary of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Leckrone, PA
