Edna Dawson

Edna E. (Dayton) Dawson, age 96, of Masontown, Pa, passed away on Tuesday March 27, 2018.

She was born on Friday October 14, 1921 in Masontown, Pa, a daughter of the late Emory E. and Gladys (Altman) Dayton.

Edna was a member of The Masontown United Methodist Church.

She was a retired teacher of The Albert Gallatin Area School District, having taught 36 years at Masontown Elementary School.

Edna was a life member of the Alumni Association of California University of Pennsylvania National Retired Teachers Association, Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees and Fayette County Association of School Retirees.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harry R Dawson and her sister Gladys Virginia Dayton.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Honoring Edna’s request there will be no public visitation.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Terravecchia-Haky Home for Funerals, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, Pa.

Interment will be private in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
