Donald Vogelsang Ii

Donald J. Vogelsang II, age 81, of Uniontown, PA passed away at home on Sunday November 25, 2018.

He was born on February 20, 1937 in Poland, Ohio, a son of Donald J. Vogelsang and Hope Vogelsang (Bupp).

Donald was a retire claims superintendent for State Farm Insurance.  He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and a member of The Knights of Columbus Assembly No. 926 of Uniontown, Pa.  He served on St. John’s finance council and as an Interfaith Volunteer Caregiver of Fayette County.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served on the USS Saratoga CVA 60.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margery Vogelsang, his parents, and his sister Linda Patterson (Vogelsang).

Donald is survived by his children, Timothy J. Vogelsang and his wife Ann, Patrick J. Vogelsang and his wife Joan, Stephen J. Vogelsang and his wife Terri, grandchildren Maggie, Hannah, Elizabeth, Sophie, Patrick, and Karl. He is also survived by his siblings Lawrence W. Vogelsang and Darla J. Vogelsang.

Friends will be received in the Baker-Terravecchia Funeral Home, Inc., 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, PA 15401 on Thursday November 29, 2018 from 4-7 p.m.. and on Friday November 30, 2018 until 9:30 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.

Interment will be private.

The Catholic War Veterans Post 1669 will hold services on Thursday November 29, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
